As a UI/UX Designer at MomonaTech, you'll craft beautiful, intuitive digital experiences that empower users across Africa. You'll work on products that impact millions of lives, from mobile banking apps to agricultural management platforms. This role combines creative design work with user research and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional digital experiences that drive real-world impact.
Key Responsibilities
Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile applications
Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitive analysis to inform design decisions
Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders throughout the design process
Develop and maintain comprehensive design systems and component libraries
Create pixel-perfect designs that balance aesthetics with functionality and usability
Present design concepts, rationales, and recommendations to cross-functional teams and leadership
Iterate on designs based on user feedback, data insights, and technical constraints
Ensure designs meet accessibility standards and inclusive design principles
Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices in the industry
Mentor junior designers and contribute to the growth of the design team
Requirements
3+ years of experience in UI/UX design with a strong portfolio
Expert proficiency in Figma, and experience with design tools like Sketch or Adobe Creative Suite
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and user interviews
Proficiency in creating design systems, component libraries, and style guides
Knowledge of front-end development basics (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and responsive design
Experience with prototyping tools and interactive design techniques
Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
Strong communication skills for presenting design concepts to stakeholders
Experience working in agile development environments
Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field preferred
