As a DevOps Engineer at MomonaTech, you'll build and maintain the infrastructure that powers our mission-critical applications serving users across Africa. You'll design scalable, secure, and efficient systems that ensure our fintech and agricultural platforms run smoothly 24/7. This role combines infrastructure expertise with automation skills to create reliable deployment pipelines and monitoring solutions that support our rapid growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment
Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure across multiple environments
Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
Ensure system security, compliance, and adherence to best practices
Collaborate closely with development teams to streamline deployment processes
Automate operational tasks and improve system reliability and performance
Implement Infrastructure as Code practices for consistent and reproducible environments
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis
Optimize system performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency
Stay current with emerging DevOps tools, practices, and industry trends
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Participate in on-call rotations and incident response processes
Requirements
4+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or site reliability engineering
Expert proficiency with containerization technologies (Docker, containerd)
Strong experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm)
Deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Infrastructure as Code
Advanced scripting skills in Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages
Strong understanding of security best practices, compliance, and DevSecOps principles
Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
Knowledge of networking, load balancing, and high-availability architectures
Experience with configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar)
Familiarity with database technologies and performance optimization
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
